Primary Course in Food Hygiene (HACCP) 

What we offer

A course that has been developed  and certified by the Environmental Heath Officers Association.This is a nationslly recognised certificate,

Aims 

To create an awareness in food handlers of the necessity for basic food hygiene and to inform them of HACCP regulations in relation to food preparation, cooking and serving food.  

Course Format 

8 modules of one hour, usually held over two days;

  • Introduction to Bacteria
  • Cross contamination of Food
  • Safe Delivery and Storage of Food
  • Correct Preparation, Cooking and Serving Food
  • Personal Hygiene
  • Correct Layout of a Premises and Pest Control
  • Systematic Cleaning- the key to Food Safety
  • Introduction to HACCP Management

 Examination of 1 hour multiple choice questions, must take place within 14 days of training.
